MaxProf returns to Alma School for Mandela Day

On 29 July 2026, MaxProf, in partnership with The Potato Foundation returned to Alma School for a ‘Mandela Day’ soup kitchen initiative.

As part of our ongoing commitment to making a positive difference in the communities we serve, MaxProf donated R5,000 towards Alma School’s feeding scheme. Together with The Potato Foundation, we were also able to provide learners with a warm and nutritious lunch, offering comfort during the winter season and reinforcing the importance of caring for those in need.

Alma School specialises in the education and care of children living with severe intellectual disabilities, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, hearing impairments, and various syndromes. Through its dedicated staff and support structures, the school creates opportunities for learners to develop their potential and participate fully in a nurturing educational environment.

Every visit to Alma School serves as a touching reminder of the impact that dedicated individuals can have on the lives of others. The unwavering commitment of the school’s teachers, parents, medical professionals, coaches, and support staff is truly inspiring. Their collective efforts ensure that every learner is provided with the support, resources, and opportunities needed to thrive.

MaxProf extends its heartfelt gratitude to The Potato Foundation for the opportunity to partner with them on this initiative and for helping to make the day a success. We also thank Alma School for welcoming us back and allowing us to contribute, in a small but meaningful way, to the incredible work they do daily.

Nelson Mandela once said, “What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.” As we conclude Mandela Month, we are reminded that even the smallest acts of kindness can create lasting change.

Together, we can continue to make a meaningful difference, 67 minutes at a time.
