From August 6-8, 2024, MaxProf actively participated in the SALGA Joint Council of Mayors and Speakers, a prestigious event that brought together key municipal leaders and stakeholders from across South Africa to address the pressing challenges in local governance and to explore innovative solu-tions for enhanced service delivery.

This influential event united mayors, speakers, municipal managers, and other high-ranking officials, providing a crucial platform for exchanging ideas and formu-lating actionable plans to tackle challenges
within local governance. Over three days, the program featured a variety of presentations and discussions on critical topics, including fiscal management, municipal governance, and service delivery improvement.
A key moment during the event was the address by Deputy Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Namane Dickson Masemola. The Deputy Minister emphasized the importance of cohesive leadership within municipalities and advocated for stronger partnerships between local government entities and the private sector to address the challenges faced by communities across South Africa.
