MaxProf was honoured to attend the SALGA Gauteng 3rd Annual Municipal Audit Awards Ceremony, held at the Premier Hotel OR Tambo in Kempton Park. The event brought together leaders, officials, and key role players from across the province to celebrate the achievements of municipalities during the 2023/2024 financial year.
Hosted by the South African Local Government Association (SALGA), the awards ceremony is all about recognising the hard work and dedication that goes into building better communities through good leadership, strong teamwork, and effective service delivery.
One of the key messages echoed by several speakers on the night was the importance of teamwork and collaboration. In his speech, SALGA CEO Sithole Mbanga reminded everyone that while clean audits are important, “It is not all about clean audits; it is also about changing the lives of our communities.” This message truly resonated with us at MaxProf, as it reflects our shared belief that good governance should ultimately lead to meaningful change for the people we serve.
As part of our commitment to supporting local government, MaxProf proudly sponsored the award for “Municipalities that effectively implemented action plans to address prior year audit findings.”A big congratulations to Merafong City Local Municipality, who took home this well-deserved award. Their win reflects a strong commitment to learning from the past, taking action, and striving for continuous improvement — something we at MaxProf deeply value.
